Fighter Chicken takes over former McDonald's location

We’re getting used to seeing some mega-chains closing select locations in Canada, but McDonald’s isn’t normally one of those companies.

Even though seeing a shuttered McDonald’s is rare, it’s clearly not unheard of in this area, because a fried chicken joint has taken over the former location of a golden arches outpost in Vancouver.

Fighter Chicken is open and operating at 8631 Granville Street in Vancouver.

The new concept’s corner space used to be home to a McDonald’s that has since permanently closed to make way for the fried chicken takeaway destination.

So there you have it. Out with the fast-food and in with the fried chicken.
