FIFA reveals Vancouver's World Cup poster designed by local artist

Vancouver’s unique poster for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup has arrived, paying homage to the city in many different ways.
All 16 host cities for the event got their own poster designed by a local artist. Vancouver was released today, and it was created by Jamin Zuroski, who also worked on art pieces for the 2019 Canada Winter Games and the 2024 Ironman Triathalon.
The design features the city’s skyline as well as the iconic mountains and an orca.

Zuroski has Ukrainian, Polish, and Namgis First Nation ancestry and used Indigenous formline art in the design.
“Going to school here was when I was first really introduced to Indigenous formline,” he explained. “As I was creating the design for this poster, I tried to stylize the orca in a way that it was kind of showcasing that power and the spirit of all the players and, of course, the beautiful landspace of the Vancouver region.”
“I just feel so much gratitude and appreciation to try and share our culture and identity. It’s a really beautiful thing.”
FIFA put out a call for poster designs in August 2024 and received 187 interested parties. A group of representatives from the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, BC Pavilion Corporation, the Province of BC’s Ministry of Arts, Tourism, Culture and Sport, Destination BC, the Host Committee then picked the five best, with the winner getting $25,000 and the other four finalists getting $1,500.
Vancouver is one of two Canadian cities hosting games for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The other is Toronto, and its poster, which was designed by Dave Murray, has already been revealed.

FIFA
“The dynamic design emphasizes the magnitude of the FIFA World Cup, its impact worldwide and soccer’s incredible potential for growth not only in Toronto but across the GTA, Ontario and Canada,” a post from FIFA about the Toronto poster reads.
“The grid behind the player represents our city streets and lines on a pitch, as well as the idea of a quilt to symbolize the collection of diverse people and neighbourhoods that come together to make our city special.”
Both cities already have specific 2026 FIFA World Cup theme songs, which also represent unique aspects of the local culture.
The Vancouver poster will be prominently displayed outside Terry Fox Plaza on a screen attached to BC Place. Fans will also be able to order personal editions of the city-specific posters starting on April 19.
