Vancouver food events in February you don't want to miss

The Vancouver foodies know that February is a stacked month for food events.

Not only are we right in the middle of Dine Out Vancouver and the Greater Vancouver Hot Chocolate Festival, but there are also plenty of other tasty events, from special Lunar New Year menus to high teas.

We’ve rounded up some of the most exciting of these events to make your life easier. Keep reading to learn all about the best food events happening in and around Vancouver.

Rosie’s Lunar New Year menu

Rosie’s is preparing a special menu consisting of BBQ bao, Xinjiang spiced smoked lamb ribs, and two collab dishes with Dicky’s Dumps: pork and chive dumplings with brisket and the Dumps and Noodle Salad (crisp salad topped with steamed dumplings).

Valentine’s Chocolate Making Workshop

Chocolate is one of the go-to gifts for Valentine’s Day, and what better way to show your special someone you really care than by making that chocolate yourself? The Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts is holding a Valentine Chocolate Making Workshop where you’ll create a heart-shaped chocolate box filled with hand-made chocolate truffle bonbons. You’ll also learn how to make chocolate-paste roses.

The second event in the Sommelier Showdown series is taking place at Five Sails, featuring renowned sommelier Nick Bertoia (L’Abattoir, Published on Main, Bar Susu) and Randy Chafe (Fairmont Hotels, The Vancouver Club) going head-to-head to battle by pairing wines with a four-course dinner crafted by Five Sails Culinary Director Alex Kim.

Tsiknopempti Celebration at Nammos Estiatorio

Pretty Chill & Super Friendly Co

Nammos is inviting the whole community to stop by and celebrate Tsiknopempti, also known as “Smokey Thursday” in Greece. This celebration is part of the Greek Carnival season and is marked by enjoying grilled and roast meats before Lent. You’ll find plenty of grilled skewers, lamb chops, and more outside. Plus, Nammos has promised some “surprises” are in store.

The popular annual fest (Canada’s largest food and drink festival) features hundreds of restaurants, each offering multi-course dinners at affordable, fixed-price points.

Dine Out Vancouver gives locals the opportunity to experience dinners at Vancouver restaurants, from fine dining to family-friendly and everything in between.

As a delicious bonus, many destinations normally offer special lunch menus as well.

All-you-can-eat hot dogs and tots

As part of Dine Out Vancouver, Mount Pleasant Vintage and Provisions is offering a special all-you-can-eat menu for just $20. You’ll be able to enjoy as many hot dogs (or beyond veggie brats) as you can eat alongside bottomless tater tots and sauces.
