New Vancouver cafe is inspired by one dog's love of sourdough bread

Vancouver’s cafe scene will soon get a new addition featuring plenty of tasty drinks, pastries, sweets, and sourdough loaves.
Jack’s Spot is opening at 3615 Kingsway and is inspired by owner Stephanie Wong’s dog.
“The inspiration started from my dog Jack, who is a Jack Russel Terrier, as he enjoys my sourdough bread (and sits there to accompany me in making it),” Wong told Dished.

As for the fare, Wong said customers can expect coffee from local roasters, a range of French-inspired pastries, sweets, and, of course, sourdough loaves.
Jack’s Spot will open in the former location of Minus Cake Boutique, which closed in September 2024.
