False Creek Ferries to run every 30 seconds after Honda Celebration of Light fireworks
Expect super high frequencies on False Creek Ferries immediately after each fireworks night of the Honda Celebration of Light.
Not only will the “little blue ferries” be running later into the night, but they will be very frequent, departing every 30 seconds from the Sunset Beach ferry stop just west of Burrard Street Bridge, next to Vancouver Aquatic Centre on the downtown Vancouver side.

The dates of the 2023 event are Saturday, July 22, represented by Australia, Wednesday, July 26, represented by Mexico, and Saturday, July 29, represented by The Philippines.
Each show starts at 10 pm and ends at 10:25 pm.
False Creek Ferries says their entire fleet of 17 boats will be in service to move passengers as quickly as possible across the inner harbour, with ferries from Sunset Beach to the stops of Granville Island, Yaletown, Stomp’s Landing, and Olympic Village running until 11:30 pm.
The Sunset Beach ferry stop is the westernmost ferry stop in False Creek, closest to the mass crowds gathering on the beach and waterfront park areas.
As well, for added pre-fireworks entertainment each night, the fleet will be performing its “ferry boat ballet” just off Sunset Beach about 15 minutes before the fireworks. This ballet on water can be viewed from Sunset Beach or from the west side of Burrard Street Bridge.
This is in addition to the Honda Celebration of Light’s Red Bull Air Show over English Bay starting at 7:40 pm for all three nights.
The mini-ferries in False Creek ramp up their services each year on the fireworks nights. The waterway’s other mini-ferries operator is Aquabus, which is also expected to increase its services.
TransLink has also indicated it will be increasing its public transit services for the mass crowds, including buses, SkyTrain, and SeaBus. There will also be a special train on the West Coast Express commuter rail on the final night of July 29 to provide residents in eastern Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley with added convenience to enjoy the fireworks.
Up to 500,000 spectators are expected for the area in and around English Bay for each of the three fireworks nights.
