Fairview is really having its moment.
The Vancouver neighbourhood is central, peaceful, and boasts envious views of the North Shore mountains — and now it’s been named the best spot for a night out in all of Canada.
Local Nights Out pegged Fairview as the top spot for a night on the town in its ranking of the best nightlife spots across the country this week. The rankings analyzed online postings related to restaurants, bars, theatres, karaoke joints, and comedy clubs, and ranked communities based on local businesses with glowing reviews.
Central Vancouver was the only other neighbourhood in the city to make the top 10, placing seventh. Quebec City was ranked the top city in Canada for a night out, with Vancouver as a whole placing third.
Locals Night Out
In Fairview, nine out of 10 ratings left by locals of the nightlife attractions in the neighbourhood were either four or five stars.
That may surprise some Vancouverites, because Fairview hardly boasts the bumping nightclubs of the Granville Strip or ritzy patios of Gastown. But it does have some local gems that have apparently thrilled residents over the years.
