Soon-to-open Vancouver restaurant will only have one main course on the menu

Sometimes it’s overwhelming to visit a restaurant and be presented with pages and pages of a menu. Thankfully, we won’t be facing that problem when Entrecôte Restaurant opens its doors this summer. Why? Because it only has one main course on the menu.
The new restaurant is opening at the former home of the short-lived Dix, which took over the space from Meet in Gastown at the end of 2025.
Steak frites are the name of the game at Entrecôte. Available as part of a $44 prix fixe menu, you’ll get a fresh green walnut salad to start your meal, followed by Entrecôte steak fries, served with its “sauce secrète.”

Entrecôte Restaurant
“At Entrecôte Restaurant, we have perfected a singular art: the art of steak-frites. Inspired by the legendary Parisian tradition, we serve premium cuts of entrecôte, cooked to perfection and crowned with our signature secret sauce — a recipe crafted over months of refinement,” wrote the restaurant on its website. “Every plate is accompanied by our handmade golden frites — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside — and a fresh walnut salad to begin your experience. No choices needed, just pure indulgence.”
There will also be a selection of French delicacies, served separately for you to enjoy. Think creme brulee, mousse au chocolat, profiteroles, and more.
