Vancouver’s legendary all-white-everything pop-up dinner party is returning for its eighth annual run this summer.
Le Dîner en Blanc Vancouver is happening August 8, 2019, two weeks earlier than normal. As per tradition, the location will not be revealed until the day of the event (which happens rain or shine).
The elegant affair sees white-clad diners enjoying eats and drinks al fresco in some of the city’s most scenic locations.

Last year’s Instagram-worthy event was held on the Great Lawn at the VanDusen Botanical Gardens. Completed by the majesty of the natural ambiance the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the 28-foot scale replica of the Eiffel Tower which appeared in thousands of photos across the evening.
Other previous venues for Le Dîner en Blanc include David Lam Park, Jack Poole Plaza, Concord Plaza, and Canada Place.
The event was created 31 years ago in Paris, and still carries on a set of traditions and rules that must be followed: you have to wear white and you must bring a table, chairs, and a tablecloth (all white of course).

This year marks the 31th anniversary of Le Dîner en Blanc de Paris, which launched in the city of love in 1988 thanks to François Pasquier and a handful of friends. Since then Le Dîner en Blanc has become a worldwide epicurean phenomenon.
