“We all love watching movies in bed,” said event spokesperson James Harrison.
So why not watch movies in bed, while outside? That’s exactly what happens at this event.
Billed as “the world’s most comfortable outdoor cinema,” Bed Cinema involves over 150 double beds, complete with pillows, blankets and LED-lit bedside tables. As an added twist, the beds can accommodate not one, not two, but three people.
Despite the vast collection of beds, Harrison told Daily Hive that the public event has one simple rule: no sleeping.
Although specific dates are yet to be revealed, the five-screening event is set to take place this August.
The event costs $35 per person or $65 per couple, and Harrison said there will be food and drinks onsite as well.
Guests can also bring their own picnic blankets if lying in bed isn’t their preferred movie-viewing position, he added.
More information on the event is available on Bed Cinema’s website.
