Local sandwich shop continues its Vancouver takeover with new location
When talking about Vancouver’s sandwich game, there’s one newcomer that just can’t seem to be stopped: Dante Italian Sandwich.
Brought to us by Dom and Frank Morra, the team behind Via Tevere, Don’t Argue Pizza, Straight Outta Brooklyn, and Il Saltimbocca, Dante Italian Sandwich is continuing its takeover of Vancouver with its third location coming to Bentall Centre.

Here, you’ll find all the things that people have grown to love about the sandwich shop in the 500 sq. ft. location, featuring a cozy six-seat counter where patrons can enjoy their sandwich amongst the aromas of freshly baked bread.
The bread here, known as schiacciata bread, is made in-house and is a traditional Tuscan staple known for its crisp crust and soft, airy interior. This serves as the base for its lineup of signature sandwiches, each stacked high with premium Italian meats, cheese, and vegetables.
Specific must-try’s on the menu include its classic Mortazza, which features a pile of mortadella alongside stracciatella cheese, house-made basil spread, pistachio crumble, and arugula.
The ItalianaĀ (prosciutto crudo, prosciutto cotto, stracciatella cheese, truffle spread, and arugula) is also another popular choice, alongside the Inferno, which is a sandwich made for those wanting to spice things up with capicollo piccante, soppresata, stracciatella cheese, bomba spread, fresh tomato, and arugula.

You’ll also find a lineup of refreshing Italian sodas, crisp arugula salad, and classic cannoli for dessert at this location.

Dante Bentall Centre is expected to open its doors in late February, meaning you’ll have to wait a little longer before getting your sandwich fix here. In the meantime, you can visit its outposts on Commercial Drive and on Robson.
