Bakery brand from 'MasterChef Canada' winner to open first Vancouver location

From ice cream to drinks to help you cool off, summer is the time for sweet treats in Vancouver, and a popular cake shop will be joining the list of sweet purveyors when it opens its first Vancouver location soon.
Daan Go Cake Lab, the dessert shop brought to us by MasterChef Canada winner Christopher Siu, shared that it will be opening in South Granville this August.
The “cake lab,” as it’s called, specializes in stunning celebratory cakes with designs that include anything from giant roses to faux bowls of ramen to planets with mini astronauts.
The bakery also serves custom macarons, pastries, cupcakes, cookies, and innovative ice cream flavours (think mango passionfruit gelato and vegan black sesame).

Siu first made himself known to Canadians when he participated in MasterChef Canada‘s second season, before returning for his triumphant win on the seventh season in 2019.
In 2023, Daan Go opened its first B.C. location in Richmond and also operates multiple locations in Ontario.
Daan Go Cake Lab will officially open its doors on Aug. 15. During its grand opening, it will be offering 20 per cent off deals the entire day.
