For as low as $30, students enrolled in “participating universities” are able to purchase “Student Rush” tickets to select remaining Canucks home games, or $10 for Vancouver Warriors games.
You have to register for the deal with a university email address, and wait for a text message with an option to purchase — without knowing the precise seat location. A Canucks spokesman tells Daily Hive it’s the first program of its kind.
The deal is available for regular or regular-plus games – the team’s two lowest price categories. In other words, don’t expect a text when the Toronto Maple Leafs come to town next week. Seat locations vary based on availability leading up to the game.
Participating post-secondary schools include:
- UBC
- SFU
- Capilano
- BCIT
- KPU
- UFV
- Douglas
- TWU
- UVIC
- Langara
- Douglas
- Emily Carr University

The deals available appear to be potentially massive, with multiple people on Reddit saying they received lower bowl seats to see the Canucks play the Arizona Coyotes last week for just $30 – well below the $90+ regular price.
