The Rogers Arena seat upgrade has been teased for years.
Well, it looks like the 30-year-old maroon seats are nearly gone for good.
While the Vancouver Canucks organization has yet to confirm details, photos from inside their home arena suggest that the seat upgrade is nearly complete.
“Took a tour of Rogers Arena yesterday,” said Canucks Reddit user GoldenGEP. “Looks like just a couple spots in the lower bowl to go. Seats are quite comfortable too!”
The Canucks appear to have made decent progress over the month of August. Back in late July, images from inside the arena suggested that the upper bowl had barely been touched.

One of the biggest changes to the seats? Yes, they finally have cupholders.
A light summer schedule at Rogers Arena has allowed staff to finish the long-awaited seat upgrade.
Time is running out to get things done, though. Aside from the Vancouver Canucks getting set to return to the ice, there’s a busy concert schedule for September as well.
Rogers Arena will host Keith Urban (Sept. 10), Bryan Adams (Sept. 12), Jonas Brothers (Sept. 18), Linkin Park (Sept. 21) and The Who (Sept. 23), all before the first Canucks preseason home game on Sept. 26.
