Burnaby Pride Street Party

What: Burnaby’s second annual Pride event recognizes and celebrates the diversity of the LGBTQIA2S+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual/Aromantic, Two-Spirited, Others) community in Burnaby. Enjoy a full afternoon of live performances, food, activities, and community resources.

Willingdon’s Annual Community Fair

The National

What: Grammy-Award winning The National is best known for their fourth and fifth albums, Boxer and High Violet. In 2017, the band also released the album Sleep Well Beast, which won the Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards. They’ll be performing at Deer Lake Park in Burnaby on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, with Alvvays as special guests.

Burnaby Artisan Farmers’ Market

What: Launched in June 2008, this open-air market, situated in the North Parking Lot of Burnaby city hall, offers visitors an assortment of food and craft stalls to peruse on Saturday mornings every Saturday from May through October.
