Sandwich concept "Burdy" set to launch soon in Vancouver

There’s about to be a new must-try sandwich spot in town, and it’s called Burdy.

The fresh concept, which will be launching soon as a ghost kitchen, will offer patrons a small and mighty menu centred around a classic and much-loved handheld variety: Chicken Parm Sandwiches.

Burdy is brought to us by a group of friends who had all worked together previously in the food industry.

With the majority of them being from Ontario, they noticed here in Vancouver there weren’t too many people offering Chicken Parm Sandwiches to-go, so they developed their own spin on the classic, and that’s how Burdy was born.

The team told Dished Vancouver its goal is to start by offering eats for takeaway and delivery exclusively with the possibility of pop-ups down the road.

Currently, the concept’s menu offers two sandwiches.

There’s, of course, the Chicken Parm Sandwich made with tomato sauce, house-made basil (or spicy) mayo, parmesan and mozzarella cheese on a toasted Portofino potato bun.

An Eggplant Parm Sandwich will also be up for order come launch, and it’s made with double-stacked eggplant and topped with arugula.

Caesar salad, Italian Fries, and Tiramisu are also part of the starting lineup for Burdy.

We’ll keep you posted on an exact launch date for this maker. For now, feast your eyes on what you can look forward to devouring from them come launch.
