The Roof at Black + Blue to reopen after major garden-inspired makeover

One of downtown Vancouver’s favourite rooftop patios is going to look a little different the next time you visit it: The Roof at Black + Blue has received a stunning garden-inspired makeover, and it’s officially reopening next week.

This rooftop first opened back in 2013, and it’s been a favourite for locals and tourists alike ever since because of its convenient and picturesque location above Alberni Street.

Now, the destination for bites and beverages has gotten a refresh in a few different ways, and Dished Vancouver was the first to see (and taste) what’s in store for you here.

The space has undergone an extensive transformation courtesy of MONARC Interiors.

Once it officially opens, patrons of The Roof will enjoy a brand new warm and welcoming atmosphere featuring arm millwork, soft grey wood-plank flooring, and tons of greenery including a wooden feature wall mounted with floating candles and lush foliage suspended above.

It’s ridiculously photo-worthy, so we’d recommend you make sure your phone is charged —  you’re going to want to document your experience up here.

When it comes to the menu, some exciting changes have been made there as well.

Fresh salads, proteins, and a show-stopping seafood tower are all up for order alongside Black + Blue classics like Mac and Cheese Sticks and a selection of steaks
from the Josper Wood fire grill.

As with any killer patio, there will be a selection of familiar and signature cocktails on The Roof’s menu as well.

Starting March 18 The Roof at Black + Blue will be open for lunch and dinner daily, and it will also offer a daily Happy Hour from 2:30 to 5:30 pm.

Oh, and pro tip: You’ll also be able to reserve seats.
