BETA5 has kicked off its wildly popular ice cream socials in Vancouver

Ice cream season is upon us fam, and with it comes one of the most celebrated sweet occasions you can head to – BETA5’s ice cream socials.

The much-loved chocolate and treat maker runs the socials out of its industrial space at 413 Industrial Avenue in Vancouver every Saturday from 10 am until close (or while supplies last) all summer long.

Running from now until Labour Day weekend (that’s 13 more chances to head here) ice cream lovers need to show up early to guarantee yourself a taste of BETA5’s unique eats.

BETA5 told Daily Hive that this year it’s all about the shaved ice component.

This spot’s sundae takes inspiration from Japan’s Kakigori (a snow-like fluffy consistency). It will be topped with flavoured syrups, condensed, or evaporated milk and seasonal fruits, the team tells us.

Last week the socials kicked off with a Mango Bubble Tea Sundae featuring mango shaved ice, milk tea ice cream, condensed milk chantilly, mango compote, tapioca pearls, and toasted house-made hokkaido milk bread.

Attendees of this social can expect refreshing flavours throughout the summer like Strawberry Shortcake and Mojito/Pina Colada (which are already in the works).
