Hotel Belmont's 'The Living Room' offers a big menu of comfort eats
By now you’ve likely heard about the opening of downtown Vancouver’s newest hotspot, Hotel Belmont, opening its doors.
While we’ve definitely seen the party hype is real via Instagram, we decided to head in ourselves and get to the more important stuff ā the food.

It’s easy to get distracted by the swanky interior, neon signs, and Insta-perfect backgrounds, but there are also some epic eats here that are certainly worth trying.
Enter The Living Room through the big yellow doors on Nelson Street and step into a seriously decked out atmosphere featuring seating for 200.
The menu up here offers diners a great selection of comfort food staples, dishes with a twist, and a ton of healthier options too, such as the house salads (chicken taco, Caesar, chicken quinoa) and bowls like the Teriyaki Salmon Quinoa variety.
But if you’re settling in at The Living Room before heading down to the party-friendly Basement for a long night of boozy popsicles and shenanigans, we recommend going with one of the more hearty options.
There are several shareables like the parmesan fries, pulled pork sliders, nachos, and truffle pasta bites if you’re aiming to graze among the crew.
If you feel like taking things up a notch, there are sandwiches, wraps, burgers, and hotdogs galore.
There’s a veggie dog made with a Beyond Meat vegetarian smokey, ketchup, mustard, and pepper relish for anyone craving a ‘dog on a plant-based diet, and a chili cheese and classic variety for those who aren’t.
Sides like jalapeno cornbread, red skin mashed potatoes, and sauteƩd veg are also up for order.
Probably the most Insta-worthy thing you can order, the ‘Flaming Hot’ burger is made with a beef patty, diablo queso, pickled peppers, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, and Sriracha aioli.
Aside from the handhelds, there’s a selection of mains like BBQ back ribs, a 10oz steak, and lemon herb roasted chicken too.
Not just a place to throw down and party, Hotel Belmont’s got quite a selection for its patrons that are peckish (or starving, like we always seem to be).
Be sure to stop in at The Living Room before kicking it in The Basement before your next big night in Vancouver.
