In just a few weeks on June 21, summer will officially be here.

Colony – Granville Street

A 15,000-sq-ft Colony is opening on Granville Strip soon. The entertainment, lifestyle, and events management company based out of BC will be transforming the former location of Caprice Nightclub into the largest Colony location to date.

Catoro Cafe
The Totoro-themed concept will be opening at 666 East Broadway, the former location of Mensch Jewish Delicatessen. The space will consist of a cafe and lounge side, and a cat cuddling side, not unlike other cat-centric cafes you may have heard of.

The Ballyhoo Public House

Located at 103-888, Burrard Street, The Ballyhoo Public House will take over a valuable address that sees a ton of foot traffic from residents in the area, moviegoers (Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver is adjacent), and anyone taking a stroll in the downtown core.

Privé
There’s going to be way more than just epic karaoke facilities at Privé, the VIP spot was inspired by lively nightlife venues in Asia and LA, and the owners aim to integrate a bar arcade concept along with a bar and lounge with space for shenanigans like beer pong too.

Umai Savory Hot Dogs

A Californian hot dog spot has plans for an outpost in Vancouver, and we can’t wait to try its menu of suped-up creations. Umai Savory Hot Dogs, a mini-chain hailing from San Jose, will be opening a spot at 1331 Robson Street (the former location of Chef Lien Vietnamese Cuisine).

Big G Large Fried Chicken – Vancouver
Signage on the store says Big G Vancouver is aiming to open spring 2019, Daily Hive has reached out for more info regarding the details. If you can’t wait until spring, be sure to make a trip to Big G’s Richmond location at #1231-8338 Capstan Way.
