Main Street’s newest eatery “Old Bird” pretty much just cracked its door open. All the food you’ll find on this menu is inspired by Old Bird owner Sophia Lin and Executive Chef Deseree Lo’s childhood nostalgia tied with a fusion of flavours from all over China, plus some recognizable Asian street food favourites.

This brand is known for its top-notch freshly-fried Tempura Donburi, aka tendon tempuras. Kaneko Hannosuke currently has locations around Japan and in the US in California and New Jersey.

Taking over the former location of The Candy Aisle at 1566 Commercial Drive, Bar Corso offers patrons fine Italian spirits, wine, and tapas. The eatery is currently operating under soft opening hours, but it is open and serving up “grappa, cocktails, and food in Vancouver’s Little Italy.”
