Someone in Northern BC is $20 million richer after purchasing the winning Lotto ticket on Tuesday night.

According to the BC Lottery Corporation, the ticket was purchased in the Stikine region of BC, an unincorporated area in the northwesternmost part of the province.

While the BCLC has not yet revealed the name of the lucky winner, or the exact location where the ticket was purchased, the lotto corporation said the ticket holder matched all seven numbers on one Lotto Max ticket to win the jackpot.

The specific retail location that sold the $20-million ticket will be revealed “once the winner has come forward to claim the life-changing prize,” said the BCLC.

All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize.
