BC health officials to provide written COVID-19 update on Tuesday
Health officials in British Columbia are scheduled to give a written COVID-19 update on Tuesday afternoon.
The announcement follows 1,475 new coronavirus cases confirmed in the province since Friday, bringing the provincially recorded total to 58,107.
During a press conference, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said there were 538 cases reported from Friday to Saturday, 507 from Saturday to Sunday, and 430 from Sunday to Monday.

There are currently 5,220 active cases of COVID-19 in the province. Additionally, there are 358 individuals currently hospitalized with the virus, 72 of whom are in intensive care. The remaining people are recovering at home in self-isolation.
A reported 7,313 people are under active public health monitoring as a result of identified exposure to known cases, and there have been 22 new virus-related deaths. To date, there have been 1,010 deaths in BC.
A total of 50,541 people who tested positive for COVID-19 have now recovered.
