Vancouver bar forced to close due to 'corporate restructuring decision'
One of Vancouver’s hottest new bars, Bar Terrasse, has made the unfortunate announcement that it will be closing its doors after a short-lived run.
“We are heartbroken to share that this upcoming weekend will be the final operating days for Terrasse,” shared the bar on TikTok.
Terrasse first opened its doors a little over a month ago, operating three days a week on the second floor of the Progression Bouldering Gym. It’s best known for its rotating DJs as well as its drinks and bar snacks.
But the bar shared that this closure is not due to a lack of success, but rather due to a corporate restructuring decision beyond the team’s control.

While Terrasse was only open three days a week for a single month, the energy, momentum, and love Vancouver showed us was massive. We proved that this concept has a vibrant place in our city, and we are incredibly proud of what we built in such a short time. We are deeply grateful for everyone who joined us, shared drinks, brought friends, and help make Terrasse what it became. The excitement surrounding Terrasse showed us how much appetite there is for spaces that bring people together. This is a structural decision, not a reflection of our success. Come raise a glass with us for our final three days this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Thank you for believing in us. However, there’s still time to stop by for one more drink, with the bar remaining open for one final weekend from June 11 to 13, from 5 to 11 p.m.
