One of Vancouver’s most famous chefs, Chef Hidekazu Tojo of Tojo’s Restaurant, is cooking up something in honour of the late Anthony Bourdain just in time for the famed culinary personality’s birthday.

Starting June 25, Tojo’s will offer a commemorative omakase experience full of items that Bourdain tried during a visit to Tojo’s. The visit was documented on a 2008 episode of Bourdain’s show, No Reservations.

Tojo’s will be donating 15% of proceeds from each dinner to local non-profit mental health resource Mind the Bar.

This special menu of seasonal specialties and Bourdain-approved plates will be available throughout spot prawn season for $150 per person. You can opt for a sake pairing for $38 more as well.

Only a limited number of meals will be up for order each evening, so reservations are encouraged to ensure you get this grub.
