A legendary rock band that blew the world away in the ’70s and ’80s has announced their latest tour dates, arriving in Vancouver in 2026.
AC/DC, known for hits like “Highway to Hell,” “Back in Black,” and “Thunderstruck,” has revealed Canadian dates for their upcoming 21-date tour. While the band was well known in the mid-to-late ’70s, they achieved their peak commercial and global success in the ’80s.
Fronted by Brian Johnson and his iconic voice, the band is expected to touch down at BC Place on Aug. 13, 2026, after a stop in Edmonton four days earlier.
Vancouver and Edmonton are only two of four Canadian stops, with the other two in Montreal and Toronto.
This concert is a continuation of the Power Up tour.
AC/DC, which has been active since 1973, hasn’t released a studio album since the release of Power Up in 2020. The album was nominated for best rock album at the 64th Grammy Awards, losing to the Foo Fighters, who are also coming to Vancouver.
Tickets go on sale on Nov. 7. The Power Up album reached number one in 21 countries according to Wikipedia, and the album was actually recorded at a studio in Vancouver called The Warehouse, which is actually owned by another legendary rocker, Bryan Adams.
The LiveNation concert announcement does not mention who the opening act for AC/DC will be in Vancouver.
Over the past several weeks, several Vancouver concert announcements for arguably legendary acts have been made, including a surprise announcement from Rush, a limited engagement with Lauryn Hill, The Barenaked Ladies and The Offspring.
