Police are investigating an attempted drive-by shooting in Abbotsford

The Abbotsford Police Department is currently investigating what looks to be an attempted drive-by shooting.

The incident took place on Sunday, May 13 at 11:53 pm when police responded to a report of multiple shots fired.

Officers responded to the call and arrived at the 2100 block of Emmerson Street where they identified a home as the location for an attempted drive-by shooting.

The home’s exterior was damaged by bullets. The four occupants were unharmed.

Patrol offices, as well as the Lower Mainland Police Dog Service, began an extensive search around the neighbourhood for potential persons or vehicles who were involved in the incident.

Witnesses reported a dark coloured SUV with a silver stripe fleeing the area. No other information of the vehicle has been uncovered and the motive for the incident remains unknown.

Abbotsford police are continuing the investigation with forensic identification officers collecting both forensic and video evidence.
