Toronto restaurants start booking tables for Winterlicious this week
Winterlicious is coming! While the two-week prix fixe promotion doesn’t kick off until January 26, more than 200 Toronto restaurants are already advertising enticing menus and will start booking tables starting Thursday, January 11!
Participating restaurants will each offer three-course menus at one of three price points for lunch ($23, $28, $33) and dinner ($33, $43, $53). Reservations are advised, and tables can be booked by contacting the restaurant directly.
New Restaurants
Among the 210 restaurants participating in 2018, look forward to dining at first-time Winterlicious participants including District Eatery, Figures, and lbs. Restaurant.
Most Coveted Tables
Reputed service and splurge-worthy menus make restaurants like Canoe, The Chase Fish & Oyster, and Café Boulud among the first to book-up during Winterlicious, as well as celebrity owned-establishments like Fring’s (Drake eats here often), and FOMO-inducing spots like Momofuku Daishō which is set to be replaced with a new concept in the weeks to come.
Budget-Friendly Spots
There are some top-tier meals to be had among the lowest priced Winterlicious menus. Among the three-course, $23 lunch menus, options include Jamie’s Italian, Hawker Bar, and The Wickson Social, meanwhile a three-course dinners for $33 can be enjoyed at Bar Buca, Momofuku Noodle Bar, and Yuzu No Hana.
Vegetarian and Vegan Menus
Eating meat-free has never been easier. More than half of all participating restaurants are offering vegetarian options while Toronto vegans will find 18 restaurants offering a plant-based selection in each courses. Standouts include Ufficio, Kasa Moto, and Tabülè.
Events
In addition to seasonal menus at a set price, Winterlicious has also introduced a Culinary Events Series. The line-up for the food-focused events includes dining experiences at historical Toronto sites, dinner theatre, make-and-take workshops, and more.
