Momofuku restaurants Daishō and Shōtō are closing in 2018 to make room for the launch of a new restaurant concept.

The noodle bar on the ground floor will remain intact, but the upper-level restaurants are closing on February 25, 2018 while the space undergoes renovations before debuting a new layout and concept spearheaded by Executive Chef Paula Navarrete.

“I look forward to continuing to work with farmers, producers, and others in the industry, as well as learn from them,” said Chef Paula in an announcement. “The new restaurant will highlight the ingredients I love in an inviting new space, with a menu inspired by my background and that of my team.”

Expect special programming from Daishō and Shōtō in the lead-up to their closure. Meanwhile, Noodle Bar, Nikai, and Milk Bar, on the first and second floors, will remain open throughout the renovations.
