It’s going to feel like 42°C in Toronto again next week

If you stepped outside in Toronto today, you’ll notice the weather has cooled down.

In fact, The Weather Network says that Wednesday’s cooldown will feel like fall following Tuesday’s severe weather.

“Today will give us a brief taste of early fall weather,” said Weather Network meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham. “With a brisk northwest wind, temperatures will struggle to climb into the lower 20s across the GTA.”

The daytime high for Toronto on Wednesday is 22°C, and according to the Weather Network, the last time the city saw these temperature values was back on June 24 when a daytime high of 21.3°C was recorded.

But the fall weather won’t last long.

Temperatures will be returning to seasonal on Thursday and Friday, with sunshine and humidity expected.

Looking ahead, there’s rain and thunderstorms forecasted for Saturday and Sunday, with the humidex rising to 39°C  by the end of the weekend.

The pattern continues into the last week of August, with humidex values in the upper 30s to near 40 through at least Wednesday.
