12 subway stations on Line 2 are closing early next week

If you tend to transit through the city at nighttime, ensure you plan ahead for next week.

Subway stations on Line 2 between St. George and Woodbine will close at 11 pm on November 5 through to November 7, due to track work.

During the closures, shuttle buses will run along Bloor Street and Danforth Avenue, stopping at each station along the route. TTC staff will be on hand to direct travellers to the appropriate shuttle locations, which will vary along the way.

Bay, Chester, and Sherbourne stations will be completely closed, but all others will remain open for access to Line 1, surface routes and fare sales. Wheel-Trans will be available upon request from any station.

Customers will be able to speak with TTC staff members for more information about service frequency.

Additionally, there will be no service on the portion of Line 2 between Victoria Park and Kennedy stations this weekend, November 2 and 3, due to track maintenance.

During this time, shuttle buses will run along the route and all stations will remain open for fare sales, access to surface routes, and access to Line 3.

Wheel-Trans will remain available upon request from any station.

The TTC does most subway maintenance at the conclusion of service each night, but says it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete critical infrastructure and maintenance upgrades.
