These are all the road closures happening in Toronto this weekend: August 23 to 25

Festivals, superheroes, you name it.

This weekend there are plenty of exciting (and free) activities in store for Toronto, including 25th annual Fan Expo Canada, Leslieville Beer Fest, and more.

That being said, that also means you should expect a few road closures in the city.

Here’s where to avoid before heading out on your weekend adventures.

The Tamil Festival

Markham Road will be closed from 10 pm on Friday, August 23 until 5 am on Monday, August 26.

Fan Expo Canada

The following full road closures will be in effect to accommodate this event:

  • The southbound curb lane on Front Street West from Simcoe Street to John Street.
  • The southbound curb lane on Lower Simcoe Street from the Intercontinental Hotel driveway to Bremner Boulevard.
  • The westbound curb lane on Bremner Boulevard from Lower Simcoe Street to Ceremonial Drive at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will all be closed from 8 am to 11 pm on Thursday, August 22, from 8 am to 8 pm on Friday, August 23, and Saturday, August 24, and from 8 pm to 6 pm on Sunday, August 25.

The westbound and eastbound curb lanes on Danforth Avenue will be closed from Woodmount Avenue to Woodbine Avenue from 10 am on Thursday, August 22 until 5 pm on Sunday, August 25.

Saturday only

Leslieville Beerfest

Dundas Street East from Logan Avenue to Carlaw Avenue will be closed from 9 am to 11 pm on Saturday, August 24.

Sunday only

Kensington Pedestrian Sundays

The following full road closures will be in effect to accommodate this event:

  • Augusta Avenue will be closed from Dundas Street West to Nassau Street and from Nassau Street to the south side of the lane south of Oxford Street from 12:01 pm to 7:30 pm.
  • Augusta Avenue will also be closed from Oxford Street to College Street from 12:01 pm to 10:30 pm.
  • Baldwin Street from the west side of the Green P exit to August Avenue will be closed from 12:01 pm to 7:30 m.
  • Kensington Avenue from Baldwin Street to Dundas Street West will be closed from 12:01 pm to 7:30 pm.
  • St Andrew Street from the Green P exit to Kensington Avenue will be closed from 12:01 pm to 7:30 pm.
