It’s time to start planning your weekend, especially if you’re going to be using the TTC.

This weekend on July 14 and 15, Metrolinx will be closing Line 1 Yonge-University between Lawrence and St. Clair stations to continue construction of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT, which is set to open in 2021.

Shuttle buses will run frequently along Yonge Street, stopping outside each station along the route.

Customers can use the 97 Yonge bus, in addition to the University side of Line 1 as alternatives during the closure.

Parking will be restricted on the following streets:

  • Yonge Street between Eglinton and St Clair Avenue (Saturday only)
  • Lawrence Avenue West outside of Lawrence Station
  • St Clair Avenue East outside of St. Clair Station

Parking will also be restricted on Bedford Park and Avoca Avenues and on Pleasant Blvd.

Wheel-Trans will also be available upon request from any station over the weekend.

A similar closure will take place next weekend, July 21 and 22.
