In what should come as no surprise to anyone living in Toronto, it snowed in the city yesterday.

In fact, it snowed so much Toronto smashed its previous snowfall record for January 28, previously set in 2009. A decade ago, 13.4 cm fell across the city, while yesterday, a whopping 26.4 cm landed on Toronto.

Combined with record-shattering temperatures, alerts of all kinds, and cancellations at both airports and schools, and yesterday was a long one for anyone living in Ontario.
Meanwhile, a cold weather alert remains in effect for the city today as temperatures are expected to reach -15°C or below.
