FEATURED ON THE LISTED GUIDE
Starting this weekend, Torontonians will have a new outdoor skating rink and trail to lace their skates up at.
Located at Riverdale Park East, the new recreational facility has been under construction for much of the past two years and will be reopening to the public this Saturday, December 16.
Complete with a massive artificial ice rink and skating trail that winds throughout the park, a winter lounge, a Zamboni station, new playground and new barrier-free accessible ramps, the new renovations will make the park much more accessible and enjoyable for everyone this winter.
This Saturday at 11 am, Torontonians are invited to attend the official ribbon cutting ceremony at the park, which will be completed by city councillor Paula Fletcher at the grand opening celebration.
Following the ceremony, attendees will then be able to lace up their skates and hit the ice and also enjoy some free hot chocolate.
Winter came early to Riverdale Park East this week – the #RiverdaleRink and skating trail was completed a month earlier than expected!
