Woman sexually assaulted on 501 streetcar downtown Toronto

The Toronto Police Service is looking to identify a man wanted in a sexual assault investigation.

According to police, earlier this year, on Tuesday, June 12 at around 4:30 pm, a woman was riding the 501 westbound streetcar near Queen Street West and Spadina Avenue.

Police say that a man sat next to the woman and sexually assaulted her.

The man is described as 50 to 60 years old, 5’7″, 170 lbs., balding with short blonde hair.

He was wearing square-framed prescription glasses, a black and silver necklace, dark t-shirt, dark pants and black dress shoes.

Toronto Police define a sexual assault as any form of unwanted sexual contact. It includes, but is not limited to, kissing, grabbing, oral sex and penetration.
