Man arrested after stealing $60,000 worth of avocados from tractor trailer in Oakville

Holy guacamole.

A man from Brampton has been arrested after stealing a tractor-trailer containing $60,000 worth of avocados from a trucking yard in Oakville.

According to Halton Police, on October 15, the suspect entered the trucking yard on Industry Street by cutting a lock.

The suspect then stole the tractor-trailer containing a massive haul of avocados.

Police say the tractor was recovered in Etobicoke the following day and the trailer was recovered in Scarborough on October 26.

However, the avocados were no longer with the trailer when it was recovered.

Harjot Singh Dhillon, 27, from Brampton was arrested on Tuesday. He is now facing break, enter and commit charges as well as possession of break-in equipment.
