The Toronto Maple Leafs opted to practice at Nathan Phillips Square today, and Toronto really showed up.
Fans warmed up with free hot beverages and enjoyed giveaways, prizes and activations while they wait for practice to begin.
After the players took the TTC to the practice, the fun started at 11 am, but crowds were forming even earlier.

The full Leafs team hit the ice for practice at noon, and after practice, there was a game of shinny with a mix of Leafs alumni and City of Toronto councillors.
Alumni that played included Shayne Corson, Kris King, Steve Thomas, Mark Laforest, Mike Johnson, Wayne Primeau, Dan Daoust and a special appearance by Darryl Sittler.
It doesn’t get more Canadian than that.
