Happy first, official day of spring Toronto.
And while Toronto might be kicking off the new season with somewhat milder temperatures, much unlike our friends in Calgary and Vancouver where temperatures are forecast to reach 23°C and 15°C respectively, above seasonal temperatures are expected for this weekend.

According to The Weather Network, Torontonians will be able to start shedding their winter layers as milder air makes a return for the first official weekend of spring.
“This weekend will feature abundant sunshine and a warming trend,” said Dr. Doug Gillham, a meteorologist at The Weather Network.
By Sunday, temperatures are expected to reach the double digits for most of the region, although some lakeshore areas will remain several degrees cooler, according to Gillham.
Although this nicely timed warm-up will give the region a much-needed break from the freezing temperatures we’ve been experiencing lately, The Weather Network says “a temperature rollercoaster will continue as we close out the month as a shot of much colder weather is expected early next week.”
“Back and forth swings in our temperatures should come close to offsetting each other as very mild weather to the west will attempt to spread east at times, but rather cold weather will continue to lurk just to the north and could still drop in for a visit,” Gillham says.
So, regardless of what you decide to do this weekend, make sure you get outside and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.
