We’ve officially survived the 2018/2019 winter here in Calgary.
Sure, there are still six more days to go, but given the sunny skies and increasingly warm days on the forecast, it’s looking like all that snow, sleet, and seriously cold temperatures are a thing of the past.
(This is Calgary, however, so the possibility of spring snow will always be around, but we don’t have to think about that right now.)

The first official day of the brand new season will be rung in on Wednesday, March 20, and oh, what a day it will be.
According to Environment Canada’s forecast, next Wednesday will see nothing but sunny skies and a scorching high of 23°C — which is 20°C warmer than what we’re currently experiencing.
The sunny skies are a constant throughout the next week, and Calgarians will be able to feel the warmth increase throughout each and every day that remains of this waning winter.
Seeing as YYC has just experienced one of the coldest winters it has ever seen, we are more than excited to feel that warmth on our skins for the first time in what feels like months.
Just be sure to protect it with some sunscreen, because it’s going to be HOT.
