Toronto is about to get a whole lot sweeter, as the city’s annual Chocolate Festival gears up to return for its 14th year in October.

The 31-day long city-wide event features the most important food group in all its tasty forms. Beginning October 1 and continuing through until the 31, with a massive Chocolate Ball Gala topping off the festivities.

In addition to the ball, over the course of the festival, a plethora of events will be running to entertain, educate, and delight your tastebuds.

Some of this year’s events include:

Chocolate-infused Dinner

This is a chocolate lovers dream dinner. The appetizer, the main course, the dessert, and the drink are made or infused with chocolate. Other surprises are in store – stay tuned here. This event is limited to a maximum of only 50 lucky participants, by reservation only. Call 905-990-3473 to book your spot.

Chocolate High Tea

You can relax during the Toronto Chocolate Festival by visiting The King Edward Hotel. From October 4 to 31, they will once again be offering up Afternoon Tea complemented with chocolates and chocolate pastries… which makes for the most decadent afternoon break.

The Chocolate Ball: COCOUTURE “50 Shades of Chocolate”

Held on October 17, chocolate lovers will assemble and unite to experience one of the most delectable chocolate events in Canada, for the first time in a couple of years after a brief hiatus. This year, the ball will feature multiple fashion shows, combining delicious eats with incredible garments.

And there’s plenty more to enjoy! Take full advantage of this month of chocolatey-goodness, and make sure you get extra indulgent as fall descends upon the city.

A portion of the proceeds from select Toronto Chocolate Festival Events is donated to the Prostate & Breast Cancer Initiatives Fund which supports Gilda’s Club Greater Toronto, The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Prostate Foundation of Canada, Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, and Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.

The festival supports other charities including SickKids Foundation, St. Patrick’s Out In the Cold, The Food Banks of Canada, Scott Missions, Star Santa Claus Fund, and more.
