As the weather gets cooler, the sun starts hiding, and post-work frosé becomes a thing of the past, it comes time to think of more wintry ways to indulge in a little self-love.

How about trying a solo high tea date on for size?

Tucked into Harbord Village, the little gem that is Bampot Bohemian House of Tea and Board Games has launched a refreshed menu that features “High Tea for One.”

Officially available from the week of September 15, the individual high tea includes a veggie burger served with house potato wedges.

Add Garlic Herb Mayo, Sweet Thai Chili, or BBQ dipping sauce for $1 each, or make the burger vegan and gluten-free, just by asking.

Tier two is filled with sweets, including your choice of cake slice plus a scone or Nanaimo bar, and an assortment of smaller treats — like fruits — to munch on.

Also included is one pot of tea, of which the Czech-style spot has over 100 kinds.

With options ranging from Shanti Peace to Bohemian Maté, it will likely be difficult to decide which to get… but we recommend choosing the Kashmiri Chai at least once.

The soft pink hue it serves up once steeped will win over your eyes and your tastebuds.

The eatery also offers High Tea to Share, the lower tier of which is a cheesy pizza, and plenty of other gluten-free and vegan bites. Specials of the day rotate, and the plethora of warm drinks, including “boozy tea,” is always inviting.
