Toronto expected to set a Boxing Day record for mild temperatures

Dec 24 2016, 4:58 am

We told you last week that Toronto was guaranteed to have a white Christmas this year.

And now it seems like Boxing Day is setting up to wash it all away.

Earlier in the week, Environment Canada released a statement summing up the holiday weather in Toronto that included saying ,”Mother Nature seems to be at odds with Santa and Old Man Winter this holiday season, as generally mild air is expected to prevail for most regions over the holidays.”

It looks like Boxing Day could be the bringer of rain this year, as well as possibly record setting mild temperatures. Currently, Environment Canada is predicting a high of 11°C on Monday, which, if met, would eclipse the 1982 Boxing Day record high of 9.8°C.

Hey, at least it will be okay to use your umbrella again.
