Weekly "Burger and Bottle Shop" launches at beloved brunch spot
It’s no secret that The Federal’s kitchen whips up the stuff of dreams — just ask any of the folks who would regularly wait in the spot’s weekend lineups during the Before Times.
Now, life is different. But while everything has changed, good food remains the same.
To honour that truth, the brunch joint is hosting weekly Burger and Bottle Shop pop-ups from 11 am to 3 pm, Wednesday to Saturday.
On the menu are three options, as follows:
- The Four Guys Special: A beef patty with special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and caramelized onion on a Martin’s Potato Roll
- The Gold Standard Classic Breakfast Sandwich: Made with bacon or crispy kale, cheesy eggs, pickles, and Marie Sharps on an English muffin
- All Beef Hot Dog: All beef hot dog, coleslaw, Kewpie mayo, mustard, and crispy onion, all piled onto a steamed Martin’s Potato Roll
Beyond eats, bottle offerings range from funky wine (skin-contact and sparkling alongside your red, white and rosé), sherry, vermouth, beer, and plenty of other thirst-quenching goodness.

Pre-orders can be placed online, where you can select your preferred pick-up time, or you can order on the spot if you just happen to stumble across the shop. But if Toronto has ever proven anything, it’s that the city loves lines. Even physically-distanced ones.
