What should have been a fun day in the sun, filled with music and dancing, quickly turned disastrous after gunfire erupted at a Caribbean music festival in Etobicoke over the weekend.
Sandz Caribbean Music Festival took over the parking lot at Woodbine Mall on Sunday, attracting large crowds to the outdoor event.
However, just after 7 pm, police said a fight erupted in the parking lot, and someone was struck by an object during the altercation.
Police also said there were multiple sounds of gunshots heard in the area, and while there was evidence of gunfire located there were no reports of someone being injured by the shots.
