13-year-old sexually assaulted at home during break and enter in Brampton

A 19-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly breaking a home in Brampton and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl.

On Saturday, January 19 around 4 am, a male suspect broke into a residence near Williams Parkway and Creditview Road, according to Peel Regional Police.

Once he was inside, he sexually assaulted the female victim. Following the incident, police were contacted and the suspect was arrested.

Marcus Owens, a 19-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with break and enter, sexual assault and sexual interference.

He is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Monday, January 21.
