Second Cup is giving FREE lattes to people who pass by closed Starbucks locations in Toronto

Second Cup is officially taking the meaning of savage to a whole new level, as the brand just launched a new promo that centres around closed Starbucks locations in Toronto.

TheĀ Canadian coffee retailer and roaster told Dished Toronto it “understands that Torontonians miss their daily Starbucks fix,” eluding to recent news of the Seattle-based coffee chain’sĀ mass Canadian store closures.

According to Second Cup, the company is aiming to “tend to the caffeine withdrawals happening around the city” by giving out freeĀ Vanilla Bean Lattes…but there’s a catch.

Torontonians who pass by certain shuttered Starbucks locationsĀ will receive a geo-targeted ad offer on Facebook and Instagram for a free Vanilla Bean Latte.

It will look like this.
