There are major road closures in Toronto this weekend: June 1 to 3

The first weekend of June is upon us, and with it comes Toronto’s usual road closures.

Two major events will see some roads closed throughout the city. So be sure to check these roads before heading for a drive this weekend.

Dundas West Fest

Dundas West Fest will take place on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2.

Full road closures will be in effect along Dundas Street West, from Lansdowne Avenue to Ossington Avenue, starting on Friday at 3 pm.

The street festival will take place on Friday, June 1 from 6 pm to midnight and Saturday, June 2 from 10 am to midnight.

Closures expected are on Dundas Street West, from Lansdowne Avenue to Ossington Avenue, from 3 pm Friday to 3 am Sunday.

Northbound and southbound traffic only will be allowed through at Lansdowne Avenue, Brock Avenue, Dufferin Street, Dovercourt Road, and Ossington Avenue

The TTC may experience delays. The Dundas Street West streetcar/bus (Dundas 505) will be diverted to College Street, between Lansdowne Avenue and Ossington Avenue.

Ride for Heart

On Sunday, June 3 expect major closures between 2 am to 2 pm for the annual Ride for Heart.

Nearly 15,000 bikers, runners and walkers will be participating this year, and parts of the Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner will be closed as follows onJune 3, 2018 2 am to 2 pm:

– Don Valley Parkway North closed from Gardiner Expressway to Highway 404

– Don Valley Parkway South closed from Highway 404 to the Gardiner

– Gardiner from Lake Shore West Ramp to Don Valley Parkway

– Gardiner closed from Don Valley Parkway S to Lake Shore W Gardiner W Ramp
