For the first time in franchise history, the Toronto Raptors are headed to the NBA Finals, and the party is spreading from right outside the arena to throughout the rest of the Greater Toronto Area.

Raptors fans venture from all over the GTA to cheer their team on at Jurassic Park outside Scotiabank Arena, as was seen by the massive celebrations in downtown Toronto after the Raptors Game 6 win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Now, fans located in Brampton and Mississauga will be able to enjoy outdoor viewings in a pair of temporary venues that will be known as ‘Jurassic Park West’ and ‘Jurassic Square.’

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown took to Twitter to share the news on Tuesday that downtown Brampton will feature outdoor viewings of the series.

Garden Square in Brampton will be converted to Jurassic Square fit with an outdoor big screen on Thursday night at 9 pm for the first game of the series.

Mayor Brown’s announcement was followed by a similar announcement from Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie.

According to Crombie’s announcement, Celebration Square will be turned into Jurassic Park West where games will be shown on the big screen.

It’s safe to say Raptors fever has spread across Toronto and beyond, with even the west coast trying to get in on the action.
