Peel Police searching for suspect who stole a defibrillator from bus station

Peel Regional Police are investigating a theft that occurred in Mississauga on Friday.

On December 28 at 3:30 pm, the suspect was at a bus terminal at 200 Rathburn Road West.

According to police, the suspect approached a ticket booth and said that a person in the parking lot was in cardiac arrest and required an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

He then removed the defibrillator from the AED cabinet and fled, police report.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25 years old, with a thin build. Police say he was unshaven and wore a white beanie with red writing, a blue backpack, white shoes and a grey coat.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have information concerning this investigation, to contact 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau at (905) 453-2121 Ext 1233.
