Two new parkettes will soon be coming to Ossington (RENDERINGS)
Toronto just got one step closer to having two new parkettes on Ossington.
During Wednesday’s City Council meeting, $50,000 in funding was approved to build the proposed “Meet me on Ossington” parkettes.
The new public spaces will be located at the corners of Argyle Avenue and Foxley Avenue, and will feature part of the “Meet me on Ossington” slogan in their design.
The corners of Foxley and Argyle in particular were identified by the Toronto Business Improvement Area (BIA) office as locations that needed improvement, and were included in the BIA’s Streetscape Master Plan.
The sites are currently empty, but after the projects are complete, they will feature trees, grass, benches, and complementary colourful arches.
